Cookie Policy

Last updated: 27 October 2026.

This page explains what cookies are, which ones dotlabs.it uses and how you can manage them. For how personal data is processed, see the Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser while you visit. They remember something from page to page or from visit to visit: a language, a login, consent to a service. Similar technologies, such as localStorage and sessionStorage, follow the same rules.

When a site embeds third-party content (a video, a map, a payment form), those services may set their own cookies: that is why policies distinguish the site's cookies from third-party cookies.

Which cookies this site uses

The site uses a single technical cookie, the one that remembers the choice made in the cookie notice. It does not use profiling cookies, advertising cookies or analytics. The language stays in the page's address (/ for Italian, /en/ for English), not in a cookie.

  • dotlabs_consent — first-party technical cookie, 6 months: remembers that you closed the notice and the choice you made. It holds only the value necessary, no personal data.
  • Profiling, advertising and analytics cookies: none.
  • Other technical or session cookies: none. The site has no reserved area.
  • Other preferences saved in the browser: none.

The cookie for the choice is set only when you press “Got it” in the notice: closing it without choosing saves nothing.

The provider that hosts the site may keep server logs (IP address, date and time, page requested) for security and diagnostics. Those are not cookies and are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

Third-party content

Videos are files served by dotlabs.it and fonts are hosted on the site: we do not load players or fonts from external services. Links to other sites (social, portfolio, the software's sites) set no cookies until you open them; from then on, those sites' policies apply.

If we add embedded content or measurement tools in the future, we will update this page and ask for consent before setting any non-essential cookies.

How to manage cookies

You can control, delete or block cookies in your browser's settings. Here are the instructions for the most common browsers:

You can reopen the notice from the Cookies button in the bottom-left corner and choose Delete the choice to remove the cookie: the notice will open again the next time the page loads.

On dotlabs.it you should not notice any difference: the cookie only remembers your choice. You can also browse in a private window and clear the data when you close it.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when the services we use change. The date at the top is the last change; the online version is the one in force.
